Privacy Policy

Short version
ClipJet runs only on your own computer. It has no server and no database of ours. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent. The only network connections the app makes are directly to the official APIs of TikTok and Google/YouTube, on your behalf.
What the app stores, and where
Everything stays in a data folder next to the app on your computer:
- Access and refresh tokens for the accounts you connected, so the app can post without asking you to sign in every time.
- Your posting queue — the paths of your video files, your captions and descriptions, the scheduled times and the status of each post.
- Your settings — for example the API credentials you entered, your default privacy level and the app's theme.
- A local log of what the scheduler did, kept so you can see why a post failed.
Your video files themselves are never copied by the app; it reads them from where they already are on your disk and uploads them to the platform you chose.
What the app receives from TikTok
With your permission (scope user.info.basic) the app reads your public profile
basics — your nickname and avatar — and shows them in the app window so you can confirm which
account is connected. Before each post it also asks TikTok which privacy levels and duration limits
apply to your account (creator_info), so that it can show you only the options you are
actually allowed to use. This information is displayed and then discarded; it is not stored beyond
the running session.
What the app sends
Only what is needed to publish the post you created: the video file, the caption or title and description, the privacy level and the interaction settings you chose, sent directly to TikTok's Content Posting API or the YouTube Data API.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no advertising in the app. No data is shared with or sold to any third party.
Deleting your data
Disconnecting an account in the app deletes its tokens from your computer. Deleting the app's
data folder removes the queue, the settings and the logs. You can also revoke the app's
access at any time from your TikTok account settings (Security and permissions → Manage app
permissions) or from your Google account settings.
Children
The app is not intended for people under the age required by the platforms it posts to.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
